Melissa is endlessly fascinated by people and their stories, and desires to help them see and experience that hope and healing are possible. After receiving a BA in Psychology from the University of North Carolina - Chapel Hill, she went on to complete an MA in Biblical Counseling from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary. These very different programs have encouraged her to recognize the value of some modern psychological techniques, while resting in the wisdom of Scripture.

She believes that anyone - no matter their beliefs - can benefit from the spiritual and practical wisdom found in the Bible, welcoming all into her office. A member of The Summit Church, along with her husband and 3 children, Melissa has served the church and her community through counseling for close to a decade. She is particularly passionate and experienced around helping her clients work through family conflict, marital strife, identity struggles (who you are and why that matters), anxiety, depression, and addiction.
